Photography and Brownies!

The other day my mom and I drove up to LA to visit the Annenberg Space for Photography.  The exhibit was spectacular, and the building itself is pretty awesome! It's a small, but modern, one-story hidden behind the new CAA building. I would have never known it even existed had it not been for an advertisement in LA Magazine!  I would definitely recommend a visit for anyone looking for a cool cultural experience (Oh, and admission is FREE!).

Anyways, we stupidly decided to drive home at 3pm on a Friday afternoon. If anyone has ever driven on the 5 or the 405 on a Friday afternoon...you know what I'm getting at here...TRAFFIC! We spent the three hour drive (more like crawl) back to Orange County talking about all of the baked goods we were craving...haha! By the time we got home, it was decided that one of us was going to have to make some brownies!

2/3 c unsalted butter
2 c sugar
1/4 c water
1 tsp vanilla
3 c chocolate chips
4 eggs
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
12 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
In a saucepan, melt butter, sugar and water.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and chocolate chips.
Add one egg at a time.
Blend in flour, baking soda, and salt.
Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
Bake for 20-30 minutes.

(I added a cup of walnuts to ours!)
